All the oppressed can come to him. He is a refuge for them in time of trouble. Do you know who I'm talking about? A psychologist, a counselor, a doctor? No. I`m speaking about God and I want to introduce you to the Almighty God, who wants to bless you and be your refuge.
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble" psalms 46:1
Are you distressed? Do you have problems and concerns? then come to Him. God offers be yourr helper and your refuge.
"Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me! " Psalm 50:15.
Is there a condition to get God as our refuge?
YES, there is. There is only one condition to make God our refuge and to be helped, and that condition is: as much as he has put his love in me, I too will exalt him because he has known my name (Psalm 91). The condition is that you put your love in God and know his name, the only name in which there is salvation: JESUS. That's his name.
If you accept his love today,If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved."(Romans 10:9) Then, you will be able to call on him and he will respond to you ....."I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me" (Psalm 86.7)
Accept Lord`s Invitation: "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest! (Matthew 11:28)Let us obey his command: "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done" (Philippians 4:6)
If we make Jesus our refuge, if we cry to him, in the day of distress then we can say:
"For you JESUS have rescued me from my troubles and helped me to triumph over my enemies"
We can also be sure of:
"We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We often don’t know what to do, but we don’t give up"
2 Corinthians 4: 8
